Mechanical Inspector - Full-Time (Direct Hire)

Location: Bellingham, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $25-$35 per hour DOE

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector with a strong background in machined medical device inspection (drills, reamers, pins, etc.). This role is responsible for performing mechanical and quality inspections on incoming raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with customer specifications and ISO 13485:2016 standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections on incoming and finished medical device components.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Apply strong working knowledge of GD&T.
• Collect, analyze, and document quality data to ensure products meet customer expectations.
• Identify and communicate quality issues; assist in problem-solving activities.
• Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
• Utilize a variety of metrology equipment including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and vision systems.
• Support troubleshooting of manufacturing or quality issues.
• Assist in training and mentoring other technicians.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, focus, and attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of mechanical inspection experience in medical device manufacturing.
• Proficiency with metrology hand tools and visual measurement systems.
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Experience interpreting prints and engineering drawings.
• Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
